By Car
To avoid the town centre, approach York on the A64 and turn off at either the:
- A19 (Fulford Road): Follow signs to the University. At the first set of traffic lights turn right onto Heslington Lane. Continue along this road until you come to a mini-roundabout. At the mini-roundabout turn right towards the University. Continue along this road past the pedestrian crossing and traffic calming until you reach a roundabout with trees in the middle. Turn left here. After 100 yards there is another roundabout, turn right onto Innovation Way towards York Science Park. Follow this road until it ends in a roundabout. Turn left into the IT Centre car park.
- A1079 (Hull Road): At the roundabout on Hull Road (next to the BP petrol station), turn onto Field Lane, following the signs for the University of York and Heslington. At the next roundabout, carry straight on (2nd exit), at the next set of traffic lights turn right, and at the mini-roundabout turn right onto Innovation Way. Follow this road until it ends in a roundabout. Turn left into the IT Centre car park.
You may park in any of the following car parks: IT Centre, Bio Centre, Enterprise House or the Innovation Centre.
By Rail
York is on the East Coast Main Line from London King's Cross to Edinburgh. There is also a direct service across the Pennines between York, Leeds and Manchester Airport. Rapita's offices are two miles, approximately 15 minutes by taxi, from York railway station.
By Bus
The number 4 bus goes direct from the railway station to Heslington East. Ask for the Science Park and then walk up Innovation Way. The IT Centre is at the end of the road on the left hand side.
By Air
The nearest airports are Manchester (MAN) which is two hours by train or taxi and Leeds Bradford (LBA) which is 45 minutes by taxi.
