The 14th International Conference on Reliable Software Technologies - Ada-Europe 2009 will take place in Brest, France. Following its traditional style, the conference will span a full week from Monday 8th June until Friday 12th June. The main technical programme and vendor exhibitions will run from Tuesday to Thursday. Parallel tutorials and workshops on Monday and Friday.

Throughout the vendor exhibitions, Rapita Systems will be demonstrating how RapiTime can determine worst-case execution time and on-target code coverage on Ada applications.

On Friday 12th June, Rapita Director Ian Broster will be giving a tutorial entitled "Execution Time: Analysis, Verification, and Optimization in Reliable Systems". This will cover key aspects on-target timing analysis: finding worst case execution times (WCET) and the worst case path, and why worst case optimization is not the same as average execution optimization. Practical issues of looking for the worst-case "hot-spots", identifying timing bugs and verifying optimisation opportunities will be explained with examples of worst case optimizations. See http://conferences.telecom-bretagne.eu/rst2009/program/tutorial_details/... for further details on the tutorial.
