We are very pleased to announce another academic success story at Rapita Systems.

Dr Paul Emberson has received his PhD from the Department of Computer Science at the University of York.

Paul’s thesis on "Searching For Flexible Solutions To Task Allocation Problems" demonstrated how task allocation tools for hard real-time systems can move beyond traditional mapping and scheduling algorithms to create highly flexible and adaptable designs capable of withstanding multiple processor failures while still meeting safety-critical requirements.

He becomes the sixth member of the Rapita team with a doctorate.
