Embedded Systems Show
Rapita Systems will be demonstrating their RapiTime technology at the Embedded Systems Show (ESS) in the NEC, Birmingham on the 17th–18th October 2007. We will be sharing a stand with our partner SDC Systems and will be located on stand 520.
Guillem Bernat, CEO of Rapita Sytems, will be speaking in the Dependable Systems Track on the 18th October at 3:30pm on the subject How long does your software take to run?
Abstract:
"How long does my software take to run...and how can I reduce it?" are key issues for embedded engineers designing reliable systems. Today, software timing analysis doesn't have to be guesswork. This presentation addresses how to understand the timing behaviour of your software and how to improve it. It will cover key aspects of real-time systems: finding worst case execution times (WCET) and the worst case path, and why WCET analysis is not the same as average execution time analysis. Practical issues of looking for the worst-case "hot-spots", identifying timing bugs and verifying optimisation opportunities will be explained. The presentation also discusses the RapiTime tool from Rapita Systems, a powerful on-target worst case execution time analysis tool that uses advanced program analysis techniques and on-target testing for accurate timing analysis.
