Will RapiTime work with my systems?
- RapiTime 3.0 is compatible with virtually every 8, 16, and 32-bit microprocessor on the market. It can also be used with DSPs.
- RapiTime 3.0 works with a wide range of commercial Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) as well as proprietary/in-house RTOS implementations. If you want to use RapiTime 3.0 with interrupts or context switches, then an RTOS integration is required. This integration provides the capability to timestamp context switches and interrupts by inserting special events into the trace. For further information, or to request a white paper describing how RTOS integration can be achieved, please contact us.
- The current list of supported C compilers includes: ANSI_C, GCC, DCC, TASKING, COSMIC, GREENHILLS, IAR. The current list of supported Ada compilers includes: GNAT, GREENHILLS. Adding support for a new compiler is straightforward, and therefore Rapita adds compiler support on-demand, as required to support new users of RapiTime 3.0.
- RapiTime 3.0 is supported on: Windows 7, Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000, Linux and Solaris (on request). For other operating systems please contact us.
- For Target operating systems: Using RapiTime 3.0, minimal effort is required to support a new target. A simple mechanism for tracing and taking accurate measurements is required. The standard approach, based on an off-the-shelf logic analyser or RapiTime TraceBox provides easy and fast target integration. The low cost of adapting RapiTime 3.0 to a new processor means that it can be used within a few days of new hardware becoming available.
