Working with some of the leading brands in the international aerospace and space industries, you will be helping our customers by supplying cutting-edge software verification solutions including software testing tools, code coverage, safety-critical software services and multicore timing analysis.
The position is suitable for someone who can combine their technical background with strong interpersonal skills to achieve success in this technical sales role.
What you will be doing
Working as part of the sales and marketing team, your primary role is to generate good sales leads in the international aerospace and automotive industries and work with account managers to achieve successful sales (a role sometimes known as an SDR or BDR).
The main activities in the role are:
- Business-to-business lead generation, identifying new opportunities in the aerospace market.
- Listening to customer requirements and understanding, each prospect’s business, their requirements and how we can meet their needs.
- Identifying new projects and decision makers.
- Proactively developing relationships with potential customers.
- Progressing opportunities from leads to prospects, setting up and conducting video/telephone calls and meetings.
- Working alongside our marketing department, representing Rapita at trade exhibitions events and demonstrations.
- Assisting sales account managers, setting up meetings, preparing quotations, tracking opportunities in the CRM.
Day-to-day you’ll be on our front line dealing with new inbound enquiries, forming a rapport with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures, building new business opportunities.

We are looking for a self-starter who can work independently and in conjunction with others; you’ll be enjoy quickly forming a rapport with people from a variety of backgrounds/cultures.
The benefits of this role include a salary from £27k to £40k depending on experience, flexible working, potential for hybrid remote working, pension, cycle to work scheme, generous holidays, positive working environment and ethos.
