Embedded Tools GmbH adds timing analysis expert Rapita Systems to its portfolio

German distributor Embedded Tools GmbH has announced that it has added timing analysis tools to its portfolio with a distribution agreement with on-target profiling specialist Rapita Systems Ltd. Embedded Tools will be supplying Rapita Systems' software toolset, RapiTime. RapiTime analyses the timing behaviour of embedded real-time software using both a static model of the code structure and also detailed measurements of on-target timing behaviour. In addition to recording average and maximum observed times, RapiTime also adds the ability to predictively model untested paths and present distributions of time values. This enables more effective optimisation, debugging and timing validation than ever before. RapiTime places particular emphasis on analysis of the worst-case execution time (WCET), the key determining factor for real-time reactivity. "We selected the RapiTime Solution from Rapita Systems because this Tool is a great Software Timing Analyzer Solution for Embedded Real-Time Systems" said Reinhold Schmid, Managing Director of Embedded Tools.
