Danlaw Mx-Suite Integrates With RapiCover To Support ISO-26262 Software Verification

Rapita and Danlaw logosMx-SuiteTM Embedded Software Test Environment Supports MC/DC Code Coverage NOVI, MICHIGAN (September 3, 2014) - Danlaw, Inc., a global provider of automotive embedded engineering solutions, announces integration of their Mx-Suite test tool and Rapita System’s tool RapiCover. This allows full structural coverage for embedded software intended for ASIL-C and ASIL-D conformance to ISO-26262 specifications. Danlaw’s Mx-Suite™ is an industry-proven software tool for verification and validation (V&V) that runs on Microsoft Windows®. It is used to streamline testing of simulation models, software code (developer-written or auto-generated), and embedded software in vehicle electronics, such as powertrain, body electronics, active/passive safety, infotainment, and other embedded systems. Mx-Suite now provides a RapiCover toolbar which allows developers and testers to enable/disable MC/DC structural coverage and aggregate coverage between test runs. "Integrating Mx-Suite and RapiCover combines two best in class tools to create a solution for that hardest part of ISO-26262 qualification", said Chris Domin, Business Development Manager of Danlaw. "With today’s autonomous safety requirements, you need clear evidence of full MC/DC coverage for ASIL-D applications. This fundamentally increases the burden of automotive suppliers to broaden testing coverage beyond what was considered acceptable in the past." The offering allows users to rapidly create requirements-based test cases, execute them early in development, and determine structural coverage right down to the MC/DC level. Test cases can be easily rerun after the code is flashed into an ECU. It improves the whole ISO-26262 qualification effort by shrinking test intervals, reducing costs, and automatically providing documented qualification evidence gathered during functional compliance testing and/or robustness/performance tests.
