Magline Composites y Sistemas S.L. is welcomed as the latest member of the Rapita Systems Trailblazer Partnership Program. This unique program has been created specifically to support emerging technologies and further the development of robust safety-critical systems for the avionics industry.

Based at their 7500sqm development and production center in Zaragoza, Spain, Magline design and produce aerospace components, adhering to strict aerospace and defense standards. Their effective approach in integrating design and production during the iterative process of product development ensures best use of resources and reduced lead-time for their customers. Their highly specialized team produce monocoque structures, electronic control systems and communications integrated in high-performance aerial vehicles. Magline also implements required processes under a Magline QAS (quality assurance system) to compile all the necessary documentation and prototype conformity for airworthiness approvals.

“After a long study process to determine the best approach to accomplish the sw verification enterprise, we are happy to have reached the conclusion that RVS tools and the Rapita Systems team are the right choice for the certification task to be completed under a rational approach in a time and cost effective manner”.

Miguel Angel Gómez Arranz, CEO and Technical Manager at Magline Composites & Sistemas S.L.

Magline’s participation in the Trailblazer Program will support their certification needs to meet customer requirements using the widely used Rapita Verification Suite (RVS) toolsuite, tool integration and support and maintenance.

“We’re delighted to see Magline join the growing number of emerging and disruptive technology companies that are using RVS to develop and deliver new safety-critical solutions to support their future growth plans.”

Dr. Guillem Bernat, CEO Rapita Systems Ltd. (UK), Rapita Systems S.L. (Spain)

About Magline

Magline is a privately owned company, which is based in Spain. Serves the UAS international market with products in various categories, ranging from mini, tactical and MALE UAS, all of them designed and built under certified aircraft standards.

Established in 2008, Magline has included certification criteria in the UAS design and development processes. Initially there were no certification basis for such aircraft, yet EASA and FAA have published certification basis for OEMs to perform verification plans to show compliance with new regulatory environment.

Based on the same principles, flight control software designed for UAS products were conceived with DO178C in mind. At this stage, once UAS design configuration has already converged into a production UAS product, it is the right time to initiate the certification process for the sw suite, to demonstrate compliance with DO178C at DAL-C level.

A development team has been formed to use RVS tool set, to conduct the sw verification process that would lead FCS to become compliant with the regulation. For more information, please visit Magline Composites y Sistemas, S.L.
