Rapita partners with Asterios Technologies to deliver solutions in multicore certification

Multicore processors (MCPs) create major verification challenges for the aviation industry, especially for meeting the highest certification standards (DO-178C DAL-A). To address these challenges, Rapita Systems has partnered with Asterios Technologies, combining their tools to tackle issues such as interference between processor cores. 

With this collaboration and their technologies (ASTERIOS, Rapita Verification Suite (RVS), and RapiDaemons), engineers can better identify, control, and mitigate these interferences, helping ensure the safety of critical real-time systems. ASTERIOS prevents functional interference by design, while Rapita’s tools help manage and analyze timing interference. Both companies share a vision for simplifying and securing time management in safety-critical systems. 

Following a joint presentation at ERTS 2024, they continue to innovate together, helping engineers meet strict certification requirements now and in the future. This partnership offers an integrated solution that combines ASTERIOS’ safety features with Rapita’s precise timing analysis—a key breakthrough for robust multicore systems.
