Dr. Guillem Bernat is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rapita Systems Ltd (UK) and Rapita Systems S.L. (Spain) operating across Europe. In 2004, he co-founded Rapita Systems to commercialize technology for measurement-based worst-case execution time (WCET) analysis technology. In the twenty years since the company was incorporated, through his industrial innovation and leadership, Rapita Systems has grown to provide industry-leading solutions for software verification of critical systems, including timing and WCET analysis, structural coverage analysis and functional testing, and certification of multicore processors in avionics. Prior to setting up Rapita Systems, Dr Bernat received his PhD in Computer Science from the Universitat de les Illes Balears in Spain in 1998 and then took a lecturing position at the Real-Time Systems Group at the University of York in the UK. He has more than 70 published papers in international conferences and journals, has lectured extensively in real-time systems and is a frequent speaker at international conferences.
