Rapita judge at "Big Bang and Inspirations" STEM competition

Andrew Coombes of Rapita Systems has agreed to judge projects at The Big Bang Yorkshire & Humberside featuring Inspirations event. Part of The National Science & Engineering Competition, the event showcases and rewards the best student projects from every area of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). Using his experience and business acumen, Andrew will judge a range of factors in each project, including:

• Planning and Organisation – was the project well planned, organised and methodical?
• Innovation and Creativity – is the project an original idea?
• Final Outcomes – has the project met its aims?
• Personal Skills – can the project organisers solve problems and inspire others?
• Likely Impact – would the project work in the real world?

The top projects at the event across three age categories (junior, intermediate and senior) will be selected to attend the National Big Bang Fair as finalists in 2012. The Big Bang Yorkshire & Humberside featuring Inspirations will be held on Wednesday 4th July 2012 at the Yorkshire Air Museum, York.
